For Patients

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early prior to your appointment to fill out any necessary information and informed consent forms. If you wish (and we encourage you to) you can complete our cloud-based forms with your own smartphone and or tablet/computer. Please also please bring with you any referral letters/notes from other health practitioners/Drs, copies of any diagnostic imaging (e.g. x-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT etc), medication list, shoes commonly worn and some comfortable clothing to walk in.

If you are, or you have a family member or friend that is anxious or nervous about their appointment for any reason, we can assure you that you will be looked after to the highest degree. No treatment is ever performed without your consent and we will always give you multiple treatment options and explain all our treatments in detail to make you feel at ease.

We appreciate sometimes things can arise and appointments need to be changed, however, we ask that you provide 24 hours’ notice on all cancellations or rescheduling of appointments. For late cancellations a cancellation fee of 50% of your booked consultation may apply.

What to expect on your first visit

In your initial consultation your podiatrist will take a comprehensive subjective history regarding your presenting issue and complete relevant objective assessments (muscle testing, gait analysis etc) to formulate a diagnosis and management plan for you. If we believe further investigations such as X-ray, Ultrasounds, CTs, MRIs etc. are required to make an accurate diagnosis we will organize these referrals for you. If you are coming in to receive general foot care (corns/calluses/nails/warts) your podiatrist will be able to treat as many of your concerns in your initial visit as time allows, focusing on your main concern. Your podiatrist will then discuss future appointments and a management plan that is best suited to your individual requirements.

We have HICAPS terminals, HICAPS GO and online bookings available for a seamless integrated experience.

Our reception waiting area in Garran (our Woden Valley clinic) has the latest magazines along with a complimentary refreshments fridge to make your experience as comfortable as possible.
